Altenew September 2024 Inspiration Challenge

Hello, today I’m sharing a card I created for the Altenew September 2024 Inspiration Challenge.

https://blog.altenew.com/september-2024-inspiration-challenge/

I used the Rosy Blooms stamps and dies sets, the Pocket Sentiments stamp and die sets, and the Dotted Waves Debossing Cover Die.  I also colored the floral image with Altenew’s Sunshine Valley Garden Alcohol Markers.

I started by stamping the largest flower in the Rosy Blooms set on a piece of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80lb. cardstock.  I colored it with the Pink Diamond (R502), Pinkalicious (R504) and Rubellite (C003) markers.  To give the flower a lighter pink and white edge I colored it with the Pink Diamond marker and lightly brushed a colorless blender over it.

I didn’t think the markers in this set gave me the darker pink color I was looking for to meet the challenge requirements, so I colored the little hearts with a Copic marker in RV06 and then went over it with the Pinkalicious marker.

The leaves were colored with Firefly (G503), Grass Field (G515) and Shadow Creek (G425).

After I was done coloring the flower I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

I cut a 4.125” x 5.375” mat from a piece of My Favorite Things Ripe Raspberry Cardstock.  Then, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock down to 3.875” x 5.125” and ran it though my die cutting machine with the Dotted Waves Debossing Cover Die.  I adhered this panel to the Ripe Raspberry Cardstock.

I used Bearly Arts glue to adhere the flower onto the white panel.

For the sentiment I used the Happy Birthday stamp and die from the Pocket Sentiments set and adhered it to the card.  Finally, I added some Vanilla Luster Fusion sequins from Studio Katia to add some sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!
