Altenew Let It Shine - Paint-A-Flower: Tulips
Hello,
I created this card for Altenew's AECP Project, Let It Shine.
I used the following Altenew products to create this card:
- Paint a Flower: Tulips Stamp Set
- Dancing Sunflowers Stamps Set (Sentiment)
- Purple Wine Cardstock
Other products:
- Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. Cardstock
- Copic Markers & Prismacolor Pencils
- Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Black Embossing Powder
- Simon Says Stamp Vellum
- Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen
- Trinity Stamps Soapy Bubble Confetti Mix
- Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink
I stamped the floral image on an A2 card base cut from the Neenah cardstock and colored it with Copic markers and Prismacolor Pencils:
- Tulips: RV55, RV63, RV52, RV000, YR24, Y19, shaded with PC994, PC993, PC1014, PC958, PC917
- Daisies: C0, C1, YR24, YR23, Y26, PC943 (flower centers)
- Purple Flowers: BV13, BV11, BV000, PC958, White Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for the centers
- Large Berries: R43, R35, R27, Y19
- Small Berries: R43, R32, R12
- Tulip Leaves and Stems: YG67, YG17, YG03
- Berry Leaves: YG45, YG23, YG41
- Other Leaves: YG03, YG21, YG01
After coloring the floral image I cut the panel down to 4" x 5.25" and used the sparkle pen to paint on some shimmer over the tulips and purple flowers.
To create a shiny sentiment I cut a 1" x 7.25" strip of Vellum and heat embossed the sentiment on it. I wrapped the vellum around the floral panel, keeping the sentiment towards the left and adhering it on the back with repositionable tape. I added seven sequins in various sizes, with the larger sequins being tucked under the vellum strip, keeping one set in a group of three and the other in a sort of triangle.
Finally, the panel was adhered to the Purple Wine A2 cardstock base with foam tape.
Thanks for stopping by!
