Altenew Rose Reverie Birthday Card
Hello, today I'm sharing a birthday card I created with these products from Altenew:
- Rose Reverie Outline Stamp Set, Die and Simple Coloring Stencil Set
- Splendid Bouquet Stamp and Die Sets
- Trellis Stencil
- Blush Rose and Strawberry Fresh Dye Inks
- Moss, Olive and Bamboo Fresh Dye Inks
- Arctic Mountain, Winter Lake, Icy Water and Polar Bear Fresh Dye Inks
- Winter Lake Cardstock
- Northern Shore Enamel Dots
I stamped the floral image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an A2 size piece of Neenah Classic Crest 80lb. cardstock. Using the coordinating stencil set, I ink blended the petals and leaves with the Fresh Dye Inks, concentrating the darker colors at the base of each petal and leaf, and blending out to the light colors.
To add some additional dimension, I added shading with Prismacolor Pencils, mostly at the base of the petals and leaves. For the petals I used Hot Pink and Deco Pink pencils. For the leaves I used Moss Green. Once I was happy with the floral image I die cut it out with the coordinating die.
To create the background, I ink blended the Icy Water and Polar Bear Fresh Dye Inks on another piece of Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock using the Trellis Stencil. I kept the lower left corner darker and blended out to the Polar Bear ink in the top right corner. I trimmed the panel down to 4.125" x 5.375" and adhered it to a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of the Winter Lake Cardstock.
For the sentiment, I stamped "happy birthday" from the Splendid Bouquet Stamp Set with the Arctic Mountain ink on a piece of Neenah cardstock. Then I stamped it again with Versamark Watermark Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I cut it out with the coordinating die.
I adhered the sentiment with thin foam strips and added seven enamel dots from the Northern Shore pack to finish off my card.
Thanks for stopping by!
