Memory Box - Drop Nativity Christmas Card
I used these products from Memory Box to create this card:
· Drop Nativity Die
· Pine Branches Die
· Greenery Solid Core Cardstock
· Blush Solid Core Cardstock
Other products:
· Matt Gold Cardstock – Crafters Companion
· Scattered Straw Distress Ink - Ranger
· Artsy Angel Stamps and Dies – Honey Bee Stamps
· Blurry Flurries Designer Paper – Whimsy Stamps
· Gold Embossing Powder - Ranger
I started by die cutting the Drop Nativity Die from Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80lb. cardstock. I ink blended them the center with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.
I traced the die cut image onto a piece of scrap printer paper and cut it out staying just inside the line I drew. I like to do this so I have a place to adhere all of the die cut pieces when I know the die will be popped up with foam squares.
I used the die to cut out the Drop Nativity shape from a piece of Burgundy cardstock from the Blush Cardstock pack and I used a scrap piece of matt gold cardstock to cut out the star. I trimmed the star and set it aside.
I glued the burgundy die cut to my printer paper background ensuring the white edges didn’t show outside the burgundy piece. I adhered the yellow center and the star creating one piece.
I die cut the pine branches once from a darker green piece of cardstock from the Greenery cardstock pack and twice from a lighter piece. I arranged all of the pieces creating a nest for my Nativity to rest on, keeping the dark green pieces in the back.
I heat embossed the “Christ is Born” sentiment from the Artsy Angel stamp set with gold embossing powder and used the coordinating die to cut it out.
I pulled a piece of cardstock from the “Blurry Flurries” paper pack and used an A2 Nesting Die from Waffle Flower Crafts to cut out a background measuring 4” x 5.25”. I attached the background to an A2 card base. Then, I adhered the Nativity / Pine Needle piece. Finally, I used thin, double sided foam strips to adhere the sentiment.
