Altenew All About Layering 4 - Dainty Bouquet

Hello, Today I'm sharing a card I created for Altenew's AECP Project, All About Layering 4.

I used the following Altenew products to create this card:

  • Dainty Bouquet Stamps and Dies
  • Elegant Tulips Stamps and Dies (sentiment)
  • Blush Fresh Dye Ink
  • Velvet Fresh Dye Ink
  • Misty Sage Fresh Dye Ink
  • Green Opal Fresh Dye Ink
  • Morning Frost Fresh Dye Ink
  • Evening Gray Fresh Dye Ink
  • Sparkle Fram Dye
  • Brushed Rose Metallic Cardstock
Other products:
  • Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. Cardstock
  • Simon Says Stamp Thin 3D Foam Squares
  • Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue

Following the Layering Guide included with the stamp set, I stamped the floral bouquet with Morning Frost, Blush, Velvet, Misty Sage and Green Opal Fresh Dye Inks twice.  I also stamped the small branch that is included in the stamp set with Morning Frost a few times.  I die cut all of the images out and set them aside.

I cut an A2 size card base from the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.  I used the Morning Frost and Evening Gray Fresh Dye Inks to create a vintage inspired card base, keeping my ink blending around the edges and leaving the center white.

I cut the Sparkled Frame Die from the Brushed Rose Metallic Cardstock and adhered it to the card base with the Bearly Art Glue, taking care not to glue the bottom inside of the frame so I could tuck the floral branch beneath it.

Taking my die cut floral pieces and stems, I arranged them in a cluster.  To build up the area behind the flower I used only the left side of one of the floral images (tall leaves) and one small branch.  Once I was happy with the arrangement I used repositionable tape to hold the pieces together.  I like using repostionable tape because it makes it easy to move the pieces around if needed.  Then I added the foam squares to the back of the cluster and adhered it to the card base.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Elegant Tulips set with Versafine Onxy Black Ink, die cut it and adhered it with foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by!
