Altenew: Hello Sweet Friend

 Hello!  Today I'm sharing a cheerful card Altenew's Paint-A-Flower: Chamomile Clear Stamp Set.

I started by die cutting a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. cardstock with the border and circles die from the Mix and Match Frames Dies Set.  This die works great with the tea cup image in the Paint-A-Flower: Chamomile Outline Stamp Set because there is consistency between the polka dots on the tea cup and the circles in the die. 

I stamped the image in the center of the panel and colored it with Copic Markers:

  • Y13, Y11, Y08, Y02
  • RV63, RV52, RV00, RV0000
  • YG05, YG03, YG01, YG00
  • B23, B12, B01, B00, B0000
  • C0, C00, Colorless Blender
To make the polka dots on the cup a little brighter I colored them with the White Posca Pen.

I matted the panel with the teacup image on a piece of Puffy Heart Cardstock trimmed down to 4.125" x 5.375".  

I used the Sweet Jasmine Stamp and Die sets to add the sentiment, which is popped up with adhesive foam strips.

To complete the card, and add a little shine, I adhered five Enamel Dots from the Dried Petals pack.

Memory Box Cauldron Witch

  Hello!     Today I’m sharing a fun Halloween card I created with the Cauldron Witch and Fancy Gate Globe Dies from Memory Box.   To create the gate, I sprayed some Iron Gate Distress Mica Stain on a piece of black cardstock.  After it was dry I used the Fancy Gate Globe Die from Memory Box to cut it out.  Note: I used a lightweight black cardstock for the gate.  I recommend using a heavier weight cardstock so the gate won't be flimsy.   For the wall background I cut a piece of light gray cardstock down to 4.125” x 5.375”.  I used the “Small Brick Wall” stencil from My Favorite Things and ink blended some Lost Shadow Distress Ink on the gray cardstock.   I adhered the gate to the cardstock wall, about .5” up from the bottom.  I used Eclipse Masking paper to mask off the sides and I added some Black Soot Distress Ink to give the appearance of a path leading up to the gate.  I also put the stencil down again ...
