June Inspiration Challenge - Peruvian Lily

Hello, today I'm sharing a card I created for Altenew's June 2025 Inspiration Challenge.

                                    Inspiration Challenge 2025 06 Option 1

I used the Peruvian Lily Stamp, Die and Stencil Sets to create this encouragement card.

Altenew Products used to create this card:

  • Peruvian Lily Stamp, Die and Stencil Sets
  • Carnival Canopy 3D Embossing Folder
  • Crisp Die Inks in Snapdragon and Marigold
  • Fresh Die Ink in Moss
  • Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set
Other products:
  • Copic Marker - E42
  • Versafine Onyx Black Pigment Ink
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Honey Bee Stamps Metallic Gold Pearl Stickers
  • Simon Says Stamp Thin 3D Foam Squares
  • Misc dark green and sand colored cardstock
  • Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. Cardstock
  • Bearly Art Glue
To create the background, I cut a piece of sand colored cardstock slightly smaller than A2 size and embossed it with the Carnival Canopy 3D Embossing Folder.  I used the Gold Pearl paint to add some shiny splatters to the background and set it aside to dry.

I stamped the floral image on a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. cardstock and used the
coordinating stencil to color the image with the Snapdragon, Marigold and Moss ink.  To get the variation in color I concentrated more color at the base of the petals and leaves.  I used the Marigold ink to color in the stamen and then die cut it out.  I wasn't loving the white spaces on my cut out image against the sand cardstock, so I used a Copic marker that was close in color to my background paper to color them in.

I adhered the die cut floral image to the embossed background with Bearly Art Glue and trimmed off the portions that were hanging over the edges with scissors.  Then the panel was adhered to the dark green cardstock.

The sand cardstock I used for the background had some texture, and I wanted a smooth piece of paper for the sentiment, so I decided to color a scrap piece of Neenah cardstock with the E42 Copic marker. Then I stamped the sentiment with the Versafine Onyx Black ink, die cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it with the foam squares.  To finish off the card I added five shiny gold gems close to the sentiment which helps draw attention to it.

Thanks for stopping by!
