Hello!  It’s almost the middle of August and time to get cracking on those Christmas cards.

I created this card with the “Artsy Angel” stamp and die set from Honey Bee Stamps.

 


 

I started by stamping the angel and coloring her with Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils:

Dress:  BG32, BG10, BG000, B0000, PC1021 Jade Green, PC289 Grey Green Light

Wings: E40, YR000, PC1085 Peach Beige

Skin:  E00, E01, E000, PC1098 Seashell Pink

Hair:  Y21, YR20, Y11, PC942 Yellow Ochre

 

I cut out the angel with the coordinating die and added some shimmer to the wings using a Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush in Clear Overlay.

 

I used the “Fancy Fall Layering Frames” dies to create the frame cut out from Matte Silver cardstock.

 

The sentiment was heat embossed with Simon Says Ultra Fine Silver Embossing Powder and die cut with the coordinating die.

 

I used a piece of cardstock from the “Winter Wonder” paper pack for my background.  I cut it down slightly smaller than an A2 size card and adhered it to an A2 size white card base.   Then I glued down the frame.  The angel is popped up using Simon Says Stamp 3D Foam Squares.  Finally, I attached the sentiment with Glue Dots to give it a little lift without being too heavy.

Altenew Celebration: Stencil Techniques - Elegant Tulips

Memory Box Cauldron Witch

  Hello!     Today I’m sharing a fun Halloween card I created with the Cauldron Witch and Fancy Gate Globe Dies from Memory Box.   To create the gate, I sprayed some Iron Gate Distress Mica Stain on a piece of black cardstock.  After it was dry I used the Fancy Gate Globe Die from Memory Box to cut it out.  Note: I used a lightweight black cardstock for the gate.  I recommend using a heavier weight cardstock so the gate won't be flimsy.   For the wall background I cut a piece of light gray cardstock down to 4.125” x 5.375”.  I used the “Small Brick Wall” stencil from My Favorite Things and ink blended some Lost Shadow Distress Ink on the gray cardstock.   I adhered the gate to the cardstock wall, about .5” up from the bottom.  I used Eclipse Masking paper to mask off the sides and I added some Black Soot Distress Ink to give the appearance of a path leading up to the gate.  I also put the stencil down again ...
