Hello! Today I’m sharing an easy birthday card featuring the “Sunrise Stem” Die from Simon Says Stamp.
I started by die cutting the flower from Neenah 80lb. Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.
I colored it with Olo Markers:
· Petals: Shaded with C-G 3, C-G 1, C-G 0
· Flower Center: OR 7.4, YO 2.7, YO 2.3
· Stem and Leaves: YG 1.6, YG 1.4, YG 1.2
I glued the flower stem together using Bearly Art Glue and added some shimmer to the petals using a Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush in Clear Overlay. Set aside to dry.
I cut another white panel from the Neenah cardstock measuring 4.125” x 5.375”.
I placed the “Fading Tiny Dots” stencil from Simon Says Stamp on a diagonal across the white panel and used SSS Pawsitely Saturated Ink in “Morning” to add the background design. I adhered the white panel to an A2 size blue cardstock panel.
I cut out the sentiment using the SSS “Happy Birthday Brush Script” die using the same blue cardstock and SSS Vellum for the shadow. I glued the two pieces together.
I adhered the flower to the white panel. To adhere the sentiment, I used small clear adhesive ZOTS from Thermoweb, placing them behind the blue letters. Finally, to add a little bling, I added some light blue gems from the “Playful Pastels” Gem Stickers pack from Honey Bee Stamps.
Thanks for stopping by!
